David Coates

David trained in Newcastle with Whinney Murray before qualifying in 1986. He then spent 6 years in the construction industry firstly as Senior Accountant for Taylor Woodrow based in Oman, then Assistant Group Company Secretary for Barratt Developments back in Newcastle and then back to the Middle East as Chief Accountant and Company Secretary for John Mowlem in the UAE.

On returning to the UK David rejoined Whinney Murray’s Hexham office which he acquired in December 1980. David’s practice grew to over 300 clients and in 2006 he merged with Rowlands.
