Alan Hynd

Alan has practised in the North East area since 1982 when he set up his practice in Chester le Street. He subsequently expanded and developed his client base with a philosophy aimed at providing a complete financial package for owner managed businesses. In November 2001 he merged with Rowlands.

Alan’s earlier extensive finance and business management background has always enabled him to focus on the provision of advice on all finance related matters. He has acted as Financial Director for a number of North East Companies and also assists others in the capacity of a Non-Executive Director.

In recent years he has been directly involved in several business disposals at values in excess of £5 million as well as a number of company share re-organisations following the retirement of the principal shareholders. He is also currently involved in a number of ongoing capital raising and financial and business consultancies, where his expertise and experience have been important attributes in assisting his clients in these turbulent financial times.

Much of Alan’s commercial experience was gained prior to setting up in practice when he was employed in Senior Financial Management positions for well known PLCs such as Allied Bakeries, Courtaulds Plc and IMI Plc. He also worked for a local business consultancy prior to setting up his own practice.

Alan’s outlook for the future is to continue to apply his commercial expertise to assist his clients. He considers this to be a rather unique attribute.

Outside of business Alan’s interests focus on sport, he regularly represents a local village cricket team and also enjoys playing golf. During the winter he combines his visits to St James Park with refereeing in local leagues.
