David Nairn

David qualified in 1978 with Ernst & Young in Newcastle upon Tyne and completed the Chartered Institute of Taxation qualification in 1980. With experience of audit on multi-national and PLC’s, David moved into smaller practice establishing a successful practice in Sunderland and Newcastle in 1982 before returning to Birtley.

A taxation specialist, but one with particular interest on its impact on the business and its owners, he has a wide portfolio of clients but also specialises in business planning activities and advising on sale and acquisition.

Born, educated and based in Chester le Street, David’s interests are largely sporting with football, cricket and golf at the forefront. The practices’ sacrificial Sunderland fan, David confesses to be a pop music “buff”. David is also married with three sons.
